Back Care Pilates classroom

Being diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopaenia at any age can be quite frightening.

It can also be hard to know where to start with exercise. You are told that certain exercises should be avoided, such as sit-ups, while we know that weight-bearing exercise pitched at the right level for you can help your bones to get stronger. There are also postural changes that can occur because of osteoporosis that can be addressed.

We have designed a pilates programme for people with low bony density or those who are keen to optimise their bone health.

This class runs in Ashford Community Centre Wednesdays at 12.30, 8 week course is €135 and lasts 1 hour. If you are interested please contact us at info@eastcoastphysio.ie or call 0404-49781.
